Location: Haji Lane or Arab street as the locals call it is one of Singapores most sought out eating destination in its own right. Hidden away in the heart of Kampong Glam( cultural neighbourhood village) it emerged in 2005 and has since then been transformed into a food and retail hub. 

Description: Haji lane or Arab street is a lane full of surprises. Of course when I say surprises I mean that in the good way. Lined with beautiful row houses and streets filled with restaurants, it is most definitely a must go for tourists who visit Singapore. One can say that an afternoon here is not enough to cover all of it and even if it is, one would still like to revisit. One of the most unique factor of the streets are the extravagant murals, graffiti’s and wall paintings one can see. It is one of the best and colourful place to get photos for an amazing instagram feed. Rather than just one road, Arab Street actually refers to the area including Bussorah Street, Haji and Bali Lanes and Muscat Street. Part of the culturally rich Kampong Glam heritage trail, Arab Street is surrounded by brightly colored fabrics and textiles, hand-knotted Persian rugs and aromatic Arab teas. One can term it as Singapore’s Muslim quarter. With up and coming hipster hoods popping up around the city, Singapore's veteran creative hub, Arab Street, continues to thrive, morphing into a calmer and cooler version of its once young and overly energetic self.
